Spring Feast is an annual event held as a celebration of our rich multicultural community through the common love of food and entertainment. Attracting over 45 food/drink stalls and over 4,000 attendees, it is one of the largest student-run events of UWA, bringing in not only UWA students and staff but also the general public.

Here are some testimonials from the event:

“For many students, the UWA Multicultural Week Spring Feast is THE event of the year, bringing people from across Perth into the University for an evening of food and entertainment. It showcases the diversity of cultures within the University, and is a great opportunity for the general public to engage with UWA student culture. The highlights for me during the 2017 Spring Feast were the Lion dance performance and the dance performances!”

Abdullah Haji-Ahmad (UWA Staff Member), 2017

“Two words. Eleven letters. Spring Feast. Look out for this spectacular event, as it only comes around once a year! It will always be a night to remember.

Watch as UWA’s serene Oak Lawn comes alive with people, food, music and more! This event is part of Multicultural Week at UWA – a wonderful week dedicated to showcasing the rich diversity both on campus and in Australia as a whole. Having been both a loyal attendee and a past director, I have firsthand experienced the success of this grand event. I send my best wishes to this year’s Multicultural Week committee and I can’t wait to see what is in store for 2019!”

Grace Xa (UWA Postgraduate Student), 2018

“Multicultural has always played a major part of the UWA campus life and tradition, as it celebrates what the University stands for. Spring feast is one of my favourite events on campus because it brings people of different backgrounds together for a night of food and entertainment. Here, we get to experience a snippet of our international friend’s cuisine and enjoy each other’s company.”

Eliza Nguyen (Spring Feast Performer 2017), 2017
